Represent UM

Make your voice heard at Ole Miss! The Associated Student Body has been looking for ways to better advocate and serve the student body, and communication is a key aspect of that.

By filling out the following form, you'll become a part of 'Represent.' Students in 'Represent' will receive the ASB Newsletter, they will be informed of upcoming events, and they will be contacted to participate in opinion polls. Students can opt out at any time.

Thank you so much for your participation. We look forward to hearing from you in the future!

Community Match Days

Match Days are a way to connect Ole Miss students with the needs of the LOU Community. As a student body, we are forever indebted to the surrounding community for granting us a welcoming, stimulating environment and a distinct natural beauty. Match Days are our way of helping to give back. Join the ASB Philanthropy team and the local chapter of United Way to find out the best way you can serve this town you call home for four (or more!) years. Keep up with our calendar and social media to find more information about times and venues.

Our first Match Day will be on Business Row on August 27 from 3:00-5:30. Contact Annie Williams for more information, awillia8@go.olemiss.edu.

ATHLETIC ENGAGEMENT TASK FORCE

Athletics is a huge part of the identity of Ole Miss, yet sometimes it is difficult for athletes to become involved with and be heard by student government. Our Athletic Engagement Task Force seeks to remedy this by serving as a direct liaison between student athletes and their representatives. If you are a student athlete and have a concern or an idea, do not hesitate to contact the Chair, Ashtin Riad, at aeriad@go.olemiss.edu.

GRADING POLICY REVIEW TASK FORCE

For many years, students have voiced complaint over the blatant discrepancy in our grading scale in that an A- is a potential grade, but an A+ is not. This year, the ASB has mobilized a task force to both do research on the possibility of implementing the A+ and also lobby the Administration to implement it. If you have a comment on these efforts, please contact the Chair of this initiative, Sally Boswell, at srboswel@go.olemiss.edu.

Rebel Mentors

Rebel Mentors is an Open Opportunity Initiative offered by the Associated Student Body to connect upperclassmen with underclassmen in order to ease students' transition to the University. In this program, older students mentor their peers and guide them in their academic pursuits. Mentors will be used as a supplement to academic advisor and as a resource for degree advice, involvement opportunities, and general guidance.
